The world’s population is growing rapidly, but our natural resources are finite. A sustainable dietary pattern is complex and it is more than simply replacing animal-based products with more plant-based products. In this e-learning, we discuss a number of elements to be considered in sustainable diets.
Nutrition in the first 5 years of life is a key factor in early physical growth and brain development, which influences cognitive, motor and socio-emotional skills development. Eating habits develop dramatically during the first few years of childhood, with lifelong implications for nutritional and health status, growth and development into adulthood. This e-learning is developed in collaboration with the Malaysian Dietetics Association and explores children development in the first 5 years, the role of nutrition during this critical period and formation of good eating habits.
