Dr. Olumuyiwa Adeyemi Owolabi, Community and Public Health Nutrition, Ahmadu Bello University Zaria (Nigeria)

Dr. Olumuyiwa Adeyemi Owolabi is a doyen of Community and Public Health Nutrition at Ahmadu Bello University Zaria. He is a nationally recognized scholar, teacher, coach, mentor and field nutrition practitioner with over 30 active years of field experience.

Owolabi is also a sought-after facilitator on various nutrition-specific and nutrition-sensitive interventions and programs including but not limited to optimal maternal nutrition during pregnancy, infant and young child feeding, micronutrient deficiency and control and community management of acute malnutrition and had contributed to development of national manuals and documents to improve the nutritional status of the most vulnerable groups in Nigeria.

He has published over 50 peered reviewed articles of international repute in prestigious journals and edited volumes. He received his B.Sc. in Biochemistry in 1987, MSc Nutritional Biochemistry in 1993 and PhD in Nutritional Sciences from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
