The Asian Congress of Nutrition (ACN) 2019 was held on August 4-7 in Bali, Indonesia. ACN is a four-yearly meetings of the Federation of Asian Nutrition Societies (FANS), which intends to encourage scientific exchange between food and nutrition researchers, academia and professionals in Asia and worldwide.
The theme of ACN 2019 was “Nutrition and Food Innovation for Sustained Well-Being”. This year, the conference was co-hosted by The Food and Nutrition Society of Indonesia (PERGIZI PANGAN Indonesia) and Indonesia Ministry of Health. It comprised of symposia and workshops which were attended by 2500 delegates.
The FrieslandCampina Institute was present during the ACN 2019 with a symposium on the role of protein in early and later stages of life, and a booth providing practical educational materials. Through ACN 2019, The FrieslandCampina Institute connected with numerous delegates from diverse backgrounds and expertise. The FrieslandCampina Institute looks forward to continuously stimulating interest and discussion in dairy nutrition and health among nutrition and health professionals.
