The 2019 Annual Conference of China Institute of Food Science and Technology (CIFST) was held in Wuhan, China on Nov 13-14. Around 2500 people from food science, nutrition and industry participated in the conference. FrieslandCampina Institute joined with a booth providing educational materials.
A key collaboration among FrieslandCampina Institute, CIFST and Wageningen University & Research ̶ called the Future Scientific Leadership Program (FSLP) ̶ was also conducted during the conference. The FSLP aims to stimulate discussion on research in dairy, nutrition and health; spur interest in the education of young professionals in the 3 areas; and encourage best-practice sharing in the field of food science and technology.
During the conference, 9 scientists were shortlisted for sponsorship to join the FSLP and 6 were selected. Below are their names:

If you are interested to join the Summer School Dairy, Nutrition and Health (which is part of the FSLP), the registration is available on the WUR’s website. The 5 days Summer School will be held in the summer of 2020, in Wageningen. It is open internationally to all food scientists and technologists, nutritionists, dietitians and working professionals who are interested to broaden their knowledge on dairy, nutrition and health.
