On 18th and 19th June 2019, the first meeting of the FrieslandCampina Institute with its Independent External Expert Panel took place in The Netherlands. This panel consists of an international group of multi-disciplinary experts in the field of (under)nutrition, public- and community health and consumer behavior.
The panel reviews the way of working and strategy for the FrieslandCampina Institute towards topics as (under)nutrition, nutrition policies, health, access to nutrition, nutrient security and (lifestyle) education. Read more here.
During the meeting, several nutrition and health challenges in different regions in the world were discussed. Additionally, the panel gave advice on how to better target FrieslandCampina Institute’s communication to the needs of nutrition and health professionals in these regions. Overall, it was a very interesting meeting that provided many new insights, which will be implemented in our new long term strategy [2020-2025].
