On April 12, FrieslandCampina Institute (FCI) China was officially launched. The event was held in conjunction with the Children’s Healthcare subgroup, Chinese Medical Doctor Association (CMDA) Conference on Children’s Nutrition and Nourishing 2019, in Chongqing.
The launch was officiated by Liu Xuebo, of the Tongji University School of Medicine; Wang Zhixu, of the Public Health School of Nanjing Medical University; Rolf Bos, director of FrieslandCampina Institute; Yannis Manios, of the Harokopion University of Athens; Gordon Yang, of FrieslandCampina; Li Tingyu, of the Children’s Hospital of Chongqing Medical University; Zhu Zonghan, of the Capital Institute of Pediatrics; and Ma Guansheng, of the Public Health School of Peking University.
A total of 432 health and nutrition professionals attended the launch. There was a wide range of audience, from medical professionals to experts in food science and technology.
As a global communication platform that engages with health and nutrition professionals, FCI will play it’s part in China, starting with collaborations with professional associations such as the Maternal and Children’s Nutrition Committee, Chinese Nutrition Society; Children’s Healthcare subgroup, Chinese Medical Doctor’s Association; and Chinese Institute of Food Science and Technology.
FrieslandCampina Institute believes that dairy plays an important role in worldwide nutrient security. By disseminating more science-based information on the role of dairy in our diets, the nutritional status of people worldwide will improve.
